TAG Aviation (United Kingdom) (VIP, Farnborough) has announced it has received ETOPS ("Extended-range Twin-engine Operational Performance") certification from the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) for its ACJ319, G-OACJ (msn 2421).

The standard governs the maximum allowable flight time a twin-engined aircraft can fly in the event one of its motors fails mid-flight.

In a press release issued last week, the UK-based VIP passenger charter specialist said the ETOPS safety certificate was granted by the UK CAA under European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) regulations following the successful demonstration that all the necessary airworthiness, maintenance and operational requirements for the executive jet are in place.

"With immediate effect the corporate jet can now be used on luxury charters and premium business trips travelling on the shortest routes between destinations," it said.

According to the ch-aviation aircraft database, TAG AVIation operates a pair of ACJ319s. Aside from G-OACJ, which is currently in service for Al Salam in the Middle East, there is also M-KATE (msn 4151) which is operated for Sophar Property Holding (Perm Bolshoye Savino). Both jets feature nineteen seats in a VIP configuration.
