The Sammarinese subsidiary of Swiss business charter specialist Comlux Aviation (Zurich), Comlux San Marino (SMC, Rimini), has secured its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) and has since taken delivery of its maiden Bombardier Aerospace Challenger 604 business jet.
Aside from this AOC, the Swiss firm has three other certificated subsidiaries namely: Comlux KZ (KAZ, Almaty International), Comlux Aruba (CS, Aruba), and Comlux Aviation Malta (MLM, Malta International).
"We are very pleased to open this new AOC in San Marino. We have been working with the Aviation Authorities and the Registry of San Marino to offer our VIP aircraft owners a new option, to operate their aircraft commercially with Comlux," CEO Andrea Zanetto said in a statement.
San Marino is a popular registry for business charter specialists given its access to the European market as well as low taxation.
