Iskwew Air (Vancouver International) has announced plans to enter the domestic Canadian passenger charter sector.
During an unveiling event at Vancouver International on Saturday, March 9, founder and chief executive Teara Fraser said the start-up has secured a partnership with Homalco Wildlife & Cultural Tours based in Campbell River, where it will help provide remote nature tours. Operations are expected to commence in the next few weeks.
Operationally, Iskwew Air owns a single aircraft at present, Piper (twin piston) PA-31-350 Navajo C-GPAK (msn 31-8052070), which it acquired in January. Plans are in the pipeline to grow the fleet in the years to come, Fraser told CBC.
