Star Air (India) (S5, Belgaum) has launched commercial operations on January 25, 2019, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows.
The Indian start-up deploys its single active aircraft, an E145LR VT-GSC (msn 14500845), between Bengaluru International, Hubli, and Tirupati.
Star Air is due to shortly start operating the second Embraer aircraft of the same type, VT-GSE (msn 145698). It is currently undergoing maintenance at Bangalore.
The airline is the only commercial operator of E145s in India. The Indian Air Force (IFC, Delhi International) also operates three units of the type.
