Surjet (Fort Lauderdale Executive) has resumed charter operations with Challenger aircraft after a six-year hiatus, following the induction of a Challenger 300. Its president, Peter Hosmann, told ch-aviation the company was also adding a Global 5000 and a Legacy 600 to the Part 135 certificate, marking the introduction of charter operations with both Global-type aircraft and Embraer Executive Jets.

The newly added Challenger 300, N608RP (msn 20372), is a 12.9-year-old, nine-seat aircraft based at Miami Executive. It was previously operated privately in the United States and based at St. Louis Spirit of St. Louis. Surjet last operated a Challenger aircraft in 2019, a Challenger 601-3A/ER.

The Global 5000, N18RU (msn 9321), will be reregistered as N100LA, Hosmann said. The 16.6-year-old aircraft, configured for up to 13 passengers, will be based at Miami Opa-Locka and will be the first Global on the company's charter certificate. It was previously operated privately in the country.

The second aircraft, N6GD (msn 14500983), is an 18.2-year-old Legacy 600 seating up to 13 passengers. It will also be based at Miami Opa-Locka and will be the first Embraer to join Surjet's charter fleet. The jet was previously listed under the Part 135 certificate of Elite Air (United States of America) until April 2024 and was briefly part of the charter fleet of Exodus Aircraft between August and September of the same year.

Surjet’s current Part 135 fleet includes the newly added Challenger 300, alongside two Learjet 45s, a newly inducted Learjet 45(XR), a G280, a GV, and a G550.

Surjet is part of Southern Cross Group, which also includes Uruguay-based operator Aeromás. The company's fleet consists of a Uruguayan-registered Learjet 60, based at Montevideo Carrasco, which is listed on both Aeromás' and Surjet's websites as available for charter.
