Lakeshore Express (Chicago Midway) has indefinitely suspended its operations with effect from April 1. In a blog post written on Lakeshore’s website last week, CEO Greg Stallkamp said the airline would be going on an hiatus but did not specify when, if ever, operations would resume.
"At this time, Lakeshore is cancelling all future flights. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause; however, we are looking to establish a relationship with a new operating partner in order to restart service to our customers in the near future," he said.
Using a fleet of Saab 340Bs operated by Pentastar Aviation (Pontiac Oakland County International), Lakeshore had specialized in connecting Chicago Midway with the Little Traverse Bay Region of Northern Michigan including Pellston and Pontiac Oakland County International.
