Pentastar Aviation (Pontiac Oakland County International) has withdrawn an application to the US Department of Transportation (DOT) to begin scheduled passenger flights as a commuter carrier in the Midwest citing “changed circumstances”.

Under its original plans, Pentastar had intended to increase operations for OneJet (Pittsburgh International). The US point-to-point business-niche operator has used Pentastar for its capacity requirements since its launch last April. However, OneJet has now decided to change its aircraft operating partner with flights now being operated by Corporate Flight Management (Smyrna).

As it stands, Pentastar continues to operate passenger charter flights using seven airplanes including two Cessna 680, one Hawker 850XP and Hawker 900XP each, as well as a Gulfstream G550, Gulfstream IVSP and a Falcon 2000LXS.
