Punto Azul (Malabo) will likely wet-lease a pair of ATR72-600s from Austria's InterSky (Friedrichshafen) on a 24-month long contract the Austrian Wings news site has disclosed.
The first of the turboprops is scheduled to arrive in Malabo on September 1 while the second is slated to arrive in central Africa on October 15.
The Equatoguinean carrier currently operates a pair of E145s on scheduled flights to Bata locally and Accra, Douala, and Yaoundé Nsimalen regionally.
InterSky managing director Renate Moser has told Austrian Aviation Net that should the deal go ahead as planned, InterSky would add two more Dash 8-300s to its fleet of three for its European scheduled operations.
