Barrier Air (Auckland International) has announced it will replace Air New Zealand (NZ, Auckland International) on services between Auckland International and Hamilton, NZ later next month.
3rd Level New Zealand reports Air New Zealand's final service is on February 8 following which Barrier Air will commence its own service on February 9.
Barrier Air operates scheduled passenger and freight services from bases at Auckland Int'l and North Shore to Great Barrier Island, as well as to Kaitaia, and Hamilton. Seasonal flights are offered to Tauranga, Whitianga and Whangarei, along with charter services throughout New Zealand. Operations are on-board Cessna (single turboprop) Grand Caravan 208B, Piper (twin piston) Chieftain (PA31), and BN-2 aircraft.
