Livingston Energy Flight (Milan Malpensa) has suspended operations on October 14, 2010. It had operated A321-200s and A330-200s on leisure oriented schedule and charter services from various Italian airports. Several lessors had already repossessed aircraft prior to the Italian civil aviation authorities grounding the carrier in October by cancelling its operating license. The Italian government is proposing to revive the carrier later this year by providing an EU approved 9.8 million EUR loan supporting a plan by the bankruptcy judge to resume operations with two A320 family aircraft. Reportedly Air Italy (I9/Milan Malpensa) and Riccardo Toto, the son of Air One (AP/Rome Fiumicino) founder Caro Toto, are both interested to invest into the carrier to help it to emerge from bankruptcy protection.
